Consider the following items:
- A diet high in carbohydrates, low in fat, and low in protein will likely lead directly to Type 2 diabetes, all the complications that entails, and an early death. A diet low in carbohydrates, moderate in fat, and moderate in protein will lower blood sugar, improve health, and give you a good chance at a long, healthy life. Guess which one the government recommends?
- The President claims the authority to create a ‘kill list‘ and take action against anyone he places on that list—including American Citizens. Drones are used for this. Federal, State and Local governments are deploying drones within the USA.
- The United States government is printing money at rates similar to Argentina, Zimbabwe, and Weimar Germany before their economies collapsed, leaving their people destitute and with significant social breakdown.
- The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA, a.k.a. ‘Obamacare’) contains perverse rules that will induce companies to cut employees, cut employee hours, and drop health insurance coverage. Medicare and Medicaid are bankrupt, and health-care costs are spiraling out of control, and nothing in the ACA will prevent this except for one thing: IPAB – the Independent Payment Advisory Board. The Board that will decide what is and what is not covered by insurance. In other words, they decide if you get care or not. If they don’t cover the ailment you have, you have to find another way to get medical help, suffer, and or die. You thought fighting your insurance company was bad? You can’t even sue IPAB!
In three of these areas, the actions being taken by the government are directly detrimental to your health and directly or indirectly threaten your life. We’re not talking Waco here. Or Ruby Ridge. We’re talking being blown away because the President thinks or claims you are a terrorist. We’re talking about being advised to eat more sugar to control your blood sugar. We’re talking about medical decisions being made by an unelected medical board that is effectively removed from Congressional oversight.
The Federal Government’s food guidelines suggest a high-carbohydrate, low-fat, low-protein (meat), diet and claim that this will preserve health and prevent heart disease. The thing is, since this diet was introduced and the ‘war on fat’ started, obesity has spiked, diabetes has run rampant, and the general health of Americans has declined significantly. Switching to a diet that limits carbs and replaces calories with fat and protein (from multiple sources) reverses obesity, ameliorates diabetes, and begins the process of health recovery (assuming you haven’t gone too far down the diabetes trail of tears).
Similarly, the American Dietetic Association, American Diabetes Association and FDA ALL recommend high-carb, low-fat, low-protein diets to people suffering from diabetes or at risk thereof (i.e., ‘pre-diabetics’). In other words, their solution for problems with blood sugar (glucose) regulation is…wait for it…to eat more sugar (i.e. carbohydrates). They then dose you with insulin to control the blood sugar. This is completely insane. This is akin to suggesting that a heroin addict should take more heroin and then take methadone to counteract the increased heroin!
Don’t believe me? Look at the links to the diet recommendations. Recommendations include ‘starchy foods’ (a.k.a. sugar), ‘diabetes super foods’ such as whole grains, fruit and fat-free milk (a.k.a. sugar), ’emphasizes fruits, whole grains’ (a.k.a. sugar). Then read these two books:
These books go into details about blood chemistry and the effects of carbohydrates. If you want to read something very technical and scientific, something you can give to your doctor or nutritionist, the following is a great choice:
Bottom line: Carbohydrates are sugar, and if you have problems with blood sugar (e.g., diabetes), then eating more sugar is exactly the opposite of what you should be doing!
The US Government seems hell-bent to create hyperinflation, economic dislocation, and ultimately disaster by printing spending money and printing money like countless failed governments in the past. A collapse is almost unavoidable at this point. If the US economy collapses, the world economy, which is priced and paid for in dollars, will likely collapse as well. This kind of economic upset in a nation where about 1% of the people could feed themselves directly—with cities teaming with millions of hungry people—would quickly devolve into a police state (similar to the Soviet Union or Maoist China), then martial law (similar to North Korea), and eventually anarchy when even the military could not control the starving masses. All savings will be wiped out. US dollars (and, by extension, other currencies around the world denominated in terms of US dollars) will be worthless. Only goods and services you can provide yourself or barter for will be available (though gold, silver, or some other similar commodity will likely emerge as a means of trade fairly quickly).
If the above scenario comes to pass, significant numbers of people will die of starvation, untreated infection, epidemic, or violence. Medicine and doctors simply won’t be available to care for people, and if they are, most people (especially city dwellers and white collar workers) will have no way to pay for it. By devaluing the dollar and destroying the economy, the government is setting you up for conditions that will make the Great Depression look like summer camp.
The liberal New York Times says domestic drones are coming. The Guardian (UK) says domestic drones are coming. Something you would expect from a hard-right, law-and-order Republican administration, right? Sure. But this time it’s the most left-leaning government in US history that is moving forward with spying on its own citizens at an alarming rate. Drones will watch your every move outside your home. They will track your car. They will track your cell phone. Every outdoor communication could be monitored with the right kind of microphone. Every cup of coffee you drink at a sidewalk cafe could end up as a video. Every person you meet on the street could be logged, catalogued, and cross-referenced. The scrutiny could only be limited by the imaginations of government officials.
Endless scrutiny is bad enough, but combine domestic spying and tracking with anti-terrorist policies that include the aforementioned ‘kill list’ and ‘signature strikes‘ (the killing of unidentified individuals) and you have a recipe for a situation far worse than any previous dictatorship in history. There will be no place to run, no place to hide, and no way to even know if you are on the ‘kill list’.
The US healthcare system is deteriorating while costs are rising. Medicare, Medicaid, and ACA are forcing more and more people into managed care programs where faceless bureaucrats decide what care is to be provided and to whom. If your condition is too expensive or nor popular enough or both, you won’t get care unless you can pay for it out of pocket (assuming that’s not made illegal as it was in the UK for a time). The lack of oversight and citizen input into the IPAB is frightening to say the least. Congress, as they are all too often wont to do, abdicated any responsibility or oversight of the board and left the citizens to suffer. This is the ‘Regulatory State’ run amok.
In addition, regulations and controls on doctors are limiting treatment plans. Drug companies (the one favored group in the Affordable Care Act law) are insidiously working to ensure that a doctor reaches for his prescription pad BEFORE he uses other options (e.g., lifestyle and diet changes). One only need look at the direct-to-consumer advertising for a range of prescription drugs to see the attempts by the pharmaceutical industry to push pills. If doctors don’t respond to the freebies they get, then the patients will demand the drugs from the doctors.
Medical devices are being taxed under the ACA as well. This will further increase the cost of non-drug intervention and will be passed on directly to the consumer. That expensive MRI or proton-beam therapy just got even more expensive. So do the stents and glucose meters that seem to be de rigueur these days due to obesity and diabetes (themselves the result of government trying to kill you with a bad diet).
The Declaration of Independence insists that “governments are instituted among men and derive their just powers from the consent of the governed.” It also says “But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security” (capitalization & punctuation as in the original document). If the above isn’t a threat to our lives and our security I don’t know what is.
